Are you a talented writer with experience in sales or bid writing? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic bid team at a leading wholesale company, where you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality bid and tender documents. Your work will directly impact their ability to win new business, demonstrating their commitment to both customer satisfaction and values.

The Role:

As the Bid Writer, you’ll be at the heart of the proposal development process, managing everything from initial planning to final submissions.

  • Craft professional, customised bid and tender responses that showcase their value proposition. You’ll be responsible for ensuring each document is tailored to specific client needs, clearly articulating the brand standards and core values.

  • You’ll work closely with stakeholders across departments, including product specialists, senior management, and sales teams, to gather insights and information that strengthen the quality and relevance of each proposal.

  • Assess client requirements and ensure each proposal aligns with specifications and compliance standards, paying careful attention to formatting, language, and content quality to meet client and industry standards.

  • As you work on multiple bids simultaneously, effective time management will be essential. You’ll set priorities, coordinate schedules, and meet strict submission deadlines.

  • Be a proactive team member by suggesting enhancements to streamline our bid-writing processes and develop more efficient ways to produce proposals that stand out in competitive markets.

You:

We’re looking for a candidate who combines strong writing skills with the ability to work collaboratively and think strategically about proposal development. Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • You have prior experience writing bids, tenders, or sales proposals, ideally within a corporate or B2B setting, and are familiar with industry best practices.

  • You can write persuasively, adapting your tone and style to communicate technical details effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • You thrive under pressure, showing resilience and motivation to deliver quality proposals on time. You’ll manage your workload independently, prioritising tasks efficiently to meet tight timelines.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal partners is crucial for gathering accurate information and aligning proposals with the company’s broader goals. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and other tools needed for proposal development, you’re able to present information in visually compelling and organised formats. Experience with bid management software is a plus.
