I am looking for an experienced Social Media Specialist and if EDM is your thing then this might be something particularly interesting for you.

We are working with one of the most exciting Electronic Dance Music Festival brands out there! Managing a group of iconic EDM festivals throughout the year.

So it’s critical that you are either experienced in the Electronic Dance Music industry, or personally engrossed in its culture, as well as love live music festivals!!

The role of the Social Media Specialist will see you take responsibility over the festivals branded social media campaigns and channels, producing engaging content for all digital platforms, and regularly analysing digital trends and performance. Creating content that reflects the festival brand whilst growing engagement and communicating key event information.

You’ll report into the groups Marketing Director with the support of some excellent talent and brilliant people across PR, Design & Creative and Production.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the brands Social Media strategy and Content themes, creating campaigns in line with the festival brands, with the aim to grow our audience and ultimately sell tickets.

  • Continue to be updated with EDM trends to create social content for ‘big moments’.

  • When at the festivals, plan and create a stream of content, supported by a team who are responsible for collecting content.

  • Leading on content productions for the festival, alongside the Marketing Team

  • Collaborate with the Head of Design and the team of videographers and photographers – briefing in marketing assets including video.

  • Assist Head of PR to liaise with artist management, content creators and labels for exclusive content.

  • Manage conversations on all social media platforms and respond to customer queries as needed.

  • Regularly report on analytics and trends and feed into the paid media content plan with an external agency for large format shows

Skills you need to have:

  • Please note there is a level of experience or high interest needed in the Electronic Dance Music scene and European Dance Scene needed. Are you a regular EDM festival goer? A great knowledge of festivals, events, artists and influencers essential.

  • Experienced Social Media and Content creation is essential as you will be the only person in the Social capacity role. Surrounded by a large marketing team but you will lead their Social strategy so ideally 4+ years is needed.

  • Strong copy writing skills and the ability to communicate with different audiences on different channels.

  • Intermediate experience of graphic design using Adobe Creative Suites is ideal.

The head office is based in Manchester city centre.
