AI Researcher (LLM's /AI)

Remote - UK / Europe (1-2 trips to The Bay Area per year)

£160,000 -£220,000 + generous stock options

 

Backed by some of the biggest names in tech and ready to help push boundaries of the next generation of AI efficiency my client is looking to grow their UK based research capability in 2025 and beyond.

 

The current team boasts an impressive line up of researchers and advisors from Stanford, Berkley, MIT, and Oxford meaning a proven research background (ideally to PhD level) is preferable.

 

You might have recently completed a relevant PhD or worked for an AI native start up, but as long as you're passionate about solving some of AI's most complex problems I'd love to speak to you.

 

Day to Day:

  • Lead and conduct research into the development, training, and deployment of large language models, with a focus on both pre-training and post-training processes (fine-tuning, alignment, optimization).

  • Innovate in the design of sequential architectures, enhancing the performance, efficiency, and interpretability of LLMs.

  • Work closely with MLOps engineers to create and optimize scalable training pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient production deployments.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation and codebases to ensure reproducibility and adherence to best practices.

  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in machine learning, natural language processing, and AI, evaluating their potential to enhance current and future projects.
