Are you an experienced Business Development Manager looking for a new challenge? We are currently recruiting for a field-based Business Development Manager to join a leading wholesale company. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand-new team that focuses on engaging new and diverse businesses of scale for multi-site and wholesale operations.

The Role:

As the Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving new business growth, primarily focusing on large-scale partnerships in national accounts and wholesale. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with prospective partners and working closely with internal teams to ensure that the partnering of the right type of retailer who will benefit from a partnership with us.

You will take ownership of generating and developing profitable leads to meet annual new business targets. Your role will also involve ensuring that our processes, lead generation, and reporting are effective and continuously improving.

·         Deliver annual new business growth targets, with a focus on national accounts and large-scale partnerships.

·         Manage the sales process for corporate sales opportunities, handling accounts with annual sales of up to £20 million.

·         Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.

·         Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party lead generators.

·         Continuously monitor and analyse the competitive landscape to keep the group proposition competitive.

You:

·         Proven experience in new business development or sales, ideally in a wholesale or retail environment.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and professionally.

·         Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with others.

·         Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse workload.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

·         A resilient and confident approach, with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.

·         A full UK driving licence.
