We are currently looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join our client, who are a leading company renowned for their expertise as a Property Consultancy with a particularly strong track record in the public sector and within social housing. They are now poised for expansion into the broader built environment sector and as such are this is an exciting opportunity to leverage your network and expertise to drive significant growth and elevate the company’s market presence.
The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be integral to our client's experienced sales team and will report directly to the Head of Sales. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead business growth initiatives, diversify their presence within the built environment, and help the company achieve its ambitious goals of becoming a household name.
· Generate and close new business leads across various strategic business units related to property compliance.
· Identify and nurture relationships with clients, contractors, and developers to drive revenue and growth.
· Advise prospective clients on their requirements and build long-term commercial relationships.
· Successfully negotiate deals and contracts to completion.
· Identify challenges and drive new business opportunities from inception to closure.
· Work with Heads of Services to target growth areas and meet quarterly sales budgets.
· Act as the intermediary between clients and internal teams, ensuring client satisfaction and maximised account performance.
· Stay informed on industry developments, regulations, and suggest new sales strategies.
· Develop and maintain business reporting on client behaviour and lead generation performance.
You
· Substantial commercial experience with a proven track record in the built environment.
· Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Experience with consultative client relationships focused on repeat business.
· Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
· Ability to quickly learn and confidently discuss multiple technical services.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Excellent networking capabilities across the property cycle, including contractors, project managers, development directors, and consultants.
· Previous success in establishing and maintaining lasting business relationships with commercial customers.
