Business Development Manager – Wholesale / Multisite accounts

Salary/Package- £60,000 - £70,000 + Company Car + Bonus

We are currently partnered with a notorious leading retail giant who are on the hunt for Business Development Manager to come and take the reins on their multi-site corporate business accounts. You will be strategically locating and winning new business for the multi-site wholesale arm, some of these accounts could be worth anywhere between £2M – £30M. So, its hunting and winning the big fish! In terms of progression, you can create the path that you want, the team in this area is new and evolving leading to more senior roles within the near future. This is an exciting role for someone looking to make a name for themselves, someone wanting to create something big.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for generating and developing profitable leads as part of the annual new business targets and will play a key role in ensuring our processes, lead generation and reporting are fit for purpose and support continual improvement. Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual new business growth targets, with a primary focus on large-scale recruitment in national accounts and wholesale sectors.

  • Lead the sales process for multiple corporate sales opportunities, each with potential values of up to approximately £20 million in annual revenue.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies that maximize return on investment.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party lead generators.

  • Continuously monitor and assess the competitive landscape, benchmarking the company's offerings against competitors.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.

  • A talent for building positive relationships and working collaboratively to achieve excellent results.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle workloads efficiently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

  • The resilience and confidence to navigate and manage challenging situations.
