Software Engineer – JavaScript & Python
Location: Remote (UK)
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000
Better Placed Technology is partnering with a Microsoft-backed, Silicon Valley-based stealth business to build out their UK team. Led by industry experts, this innovative company is pioneering technologies that are transforming the AI space. While this role is fully remote, there may be occasional travel to Silicon Valley (1-2 times per year) for collaboration.
About the Role:
As a key UK hire, you’ll be developing synthetic data tools, working with Large Language Models (LLMs), integrating APIs, and building products for enterprise customers.
Key Requirements:
Proficiency in Python; experience with PyTorch is advantageous
Strong JavaScript skills, including React, Next.js, and Node.js
Full-stack development experience
Experience working with APIs and integrating third-party services
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain synthetic data tools for AI model training and evaluation
Work with LLMs, contributing to their improvement and deployment
Integrate various APIs to expand product functionality
Build and optimise enterprise products for performance and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with synthetic data generation
Familiarity with LLMs and their applications
Previous experience working with enterprise clients
