Are you a quality-driven leader with a passion for excellence in product standards and compliance? We’re looking for a **Head of Quality and Compliance** to join a fast-growing, digital-first retailer specialising in luxury homeware and furniture.
The Role:
This is a pivotal role in shaping the company’s quality strategy, ensuring seamless product control processes, and managing key areas such as QC administration, spare parts, and instruction manuals. Acting as the bridge between UK and Asia, you’ll play a key role in aligning sourcing, merchandising, warehousing, and customer service functions.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive quality control strategy aligned with sourcing and product standards.
• Collaborate with Asia-based sourcing teams to ensure consistent implementation of QC measures.
• Optimise the use of the company’s QC platform, to track inspection data and drive continuous improvements.
• Oversee QC administration, ensuring all inspection records, corrective actions, and quality data are maintained accurately.
• Analyse QC data to identify trends and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Work closely with suppliers and the Asia sourcing team to ensure consistent spare parts availability.
• Streamline spare parts ordering, tracking, and distribution, collaborating with warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Ensure all QC processes meet local and international compliance standards, including regulatory and safety requirements.
• Act as the key liaison between UK buying, merchandising, and warehousing teams and the Asia sourcing team.
• Supervise the Quality Control Administrator and provide operational support for QC functions.
You:
• Experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within consumer goods or retail (ideally in furniture or home retail).
• Proficiency in QC platforms with experience in data tracking, reporting, and analytics.
• Strong communication skills to bridge regional and departmental gaps.
• Excellent analytical skills for QC data analysis, trend identification, and process improvement.
• Project management experience in cross-functional initiatives related to instruction manuals, spare parts, and quality strategy.
