Sales Controller/Senior National Account Manager – Retail Multiples

We’re currently working with a family-owned branded food business that prides itself on top-tier product quality. With over 70 years in the industry and a turnover of £20M, they’re no strangers to the market and have ambitious plans to become a nationally recognised industry leader. They’re already seeing a 40% year-on-year increase across retail, and there’s plenty of room for further growth. Currently, they’re working with a number of retail multiples, but we’re looking for someone who can help expand their overall distribution. Experience with a few more retail giants would be a real bonus. In terms of progression, this role could see you move into a Commercial Director position with a growing team around you. What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Managing P&L for several retail multiple accounts

  • Strategically targeting Tesco and Morrisons for new business opportunities

  • Staying ahead of the market by spotting emerging trends

  • Using Epos/Nielsen data to create compelling business stories

  • Influencing core range and NPD (New Product Development) strategies

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience working with retail multiples

  • Successful track record in winning new retail accounts

  • Strong commercial acumen and excellent numerical skills

  • Skilled negotiator focused on building long-term partnerships

  • Proactive, independent worker who thrives in fast-paced environments

  • A team player who enjoys collaborating and getting hands-on

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to tell compelling stories using data

  • Excellent communicator with a straightforward and approachable manner
