The Head of Brand is responsible for leading the overall brand strategy and vision for the company’s product portfolio. This role involves overseeing all aspects of brand management, from positioning and messaging to innovation and market performance. The Head of Brand will manage a team of brand leaders and ensure cohesive execution of branding initiatives across all consumer touchpoints, driving growth, market share, and brand equity. This individual will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align brand strategies with broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy Development: Define and lead the overall brand strategy and vision for the company’s product portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and market trends.
Leadership & Team Development: Oversee a team of Senior Brand Managers, Brand Managers, and Assistant Brand Managers, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
Innovation & Growth: Identify new opportunities for brand growth and market expansion, driving product innovation and portfolio optimization. Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to bring new products to market.
Market Analysis & Consumer Insights: Lead the use of data and insights to drive brand strategies. Ensure the brand team conducts regular market analysis, consumer research, and competitive benchmarking to stay ahead of trends.
Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns across all channels (digital, social, traditional media, in-store, etc.), ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, supply chain, and R&D, to ensure brand initiatives are executed smoothly and aligned with overall business goals.
P&L Responsibility: Manage the brand portfolio’s P&L, driving revenue growth, optimizing costs, and delivering on profitability targets.
Brand Equity & Positioning: Ensure consistent and compelling brand positioning and communication across all touchpoints, reinforcing the brand’s values and market differentiation.
Leadership in Brand Communications: Serve as the brand's ambassador, ensuring clear and consistent communication of the brand’s vision and values to both internal and external stakeholders, including consumers, partners, and media.
Budget Management: Oversee and manage the marketing budget for all brand initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of the brand portfolio through KPIs, sales data, and market feedback. Adjust strategies as needed to achieve business goals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Experience: 8-10+ years of experience in brand management or marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a CPG or FMCG company.
